Since the demise of his dad, the weight of supporting the family has fallen upon Tanjirou Kamado's shoulders. However living ruined on a distant mountain, the Kamado family can partake in a moderately tranquil and blissful life. At some point, Tanjirou chooses to go down to the nearby town to bring in a minimal expenditure selling charcoal. Coming back, sunsets, constraining Tanjirou to take cover in the place of an odd man, who cautions him of the presence of tissue eating evil spirits that prowl in the forest around evening time.
